Walk in the Vineyard
A true sensory journey. We will stroll through the Molise hills and vineyards in the company of expert producers of Molise’s finest wine: Tintilia.
Truffle Hunting
Excursion in the forests of Molise in the company of an expert, to discoverall the secrets of truffle hunting. After a short lesson on truffle hunting, we will search for and collect the precious tuber. Once back at the farm, we will witness the artisanal processing of the freshly harvested truffle. This will be followed by a convivial lunch to taste these precious products, accompanied by excellent Molise winesat the rural farm.
The Oil Trails
An experience to discover the “Frentane” lands, on the occasion of the pressing of the new oil, following an itinerary of tradition and authenticity. As we stroll through the olive groves, wewilldiscover and get to know the area and, together with it, the secrets of the cultivation and transformation of the olivesintoMolise’s Green Gold. At the end wewillhave the opportunity to taste the newlyproduced olive oil, combined with culinarydelicacies of the Molise folk tradition.
The art of cheese making
Visit to the Museum of Dairy Art and Transhumance, which will allow us to relive the socio-economic history of Molise and the Apennines through a multicultural itinerary full of surprises and stories. We will visit the adjoining artisan workshop, where rich olfactory sensations mix with the magic of movements in the steaming atmosphere from which the famous caciocavallo di Agnone, matured in lapillus stone, is made. After a guided tasting of five cheeses accompanied by local bread (which will be our aperitif), we will move, for a typical lunch, to a welcoming inn in the heart of the village.
The thousand-year-oldbells of Agnone
Guided tour of the thousand-year-old Marinelli Pontifical Bell Foundry(the oldest foundry in Italy and one of the oldest in the world). The Marinelli family will open the doors of their treasure chest to show us, step by step, the ancient rituals of bronze forging and instrument production. The master bell ringer will introduce us to sounds and tones in a truly unusual concert.
The bagpipes of Scapoli
Visit to the village of Scapoli, a forge of master craftsmen producing bagpipes, the ancient musical instrument of the shepherds. In this place, nestled in the mountains, musical culture is embodied in the last historic workshops (whichwewillvisit), the last in Italy, where the precious and seasoned olive, cherry and plum woods are carved using techniques that have remained unchanged over the centuries. The International Reed-pipe Museum and its permanent exhibition preserve these jewels as testimony to the skills and traditions of a people.
Tratturo via della Civiltà
The route follows three of the five sheep-tracks (the ancient transhumance routes): it starts out along the Lucera – Castel di Sangro and intercepts the Celano – Foggia, crossing a sheep-track.
An overall route of considerable natural interest, with many reserves to be visited in a varied area of picturesque landscapes. Adventure, culture and nature will be the ingredients of a mix of experiences.
Roccamandolfi Nature Reserve
Guided excursion to the nature reserve, the Tibetan bridge and the castle. For lunch, possibility to taste goat cheese and other products at a local massaro, followed by a visit to the village and the museum of Brigantaggio.
Jeep Tour
Off-road tours along paths, tracks and more extreme terrain to discover enchanting places that are not easy to reach. On request it ispossible to have lunch at altitude.
River Trekking Cascades of Carpinone
A walkthrough the river bed in a special suit. Departure from Piazza Mercato to reach the Carpino river in Casale. From here we will dive into the river and walk up it to the Schioppo waterfall.
Guided tour to discover one of the most fascinating river parks in Molise, with the possibility of tasting traditional local dishes in a trattoria.
Urban Trek in Isernia
From Isernia, along paths and minor roads, we will cross the city’s eastern trail network and head towards the Matese promontories. We will move towards “Colle La Pineta”, along what was once the ancient sheep trail Pescasseroli-Candela, and reach the National Museum of the Palaeolithic Age, to which we will dedicate a guided tour. This will be followed by a visit to the village of Isernia, notbefore enjoying a refreshing aperitrek in one of the characteristic bars in the historic centre.
Discover Pizzone (Abruzzo National Park, Lazio and Molise)
Arrival in the town square – visit of the village – visit the bear museum – continue by bus to the Vallefiorita – arrival in Vallefiorita light trekking – packed lunch. It will follow: Workshop about biodiversity and life of the forest (sensory and exploratory path of the forest and its creatures) or alternatively workshop Living Prehistory (through interactive, curious and exciting activities we will discover the world of prehistoric man). At the end return to the office.
